So do you just think that people can't love each other in general, or that people can't love YOU?

        “Both. Humans, as a whole, waste so much time longing to be cared for, to be loved and I’m guilty of it myself. I’ve spent much of my life worrying and wondering if anyone is ever going to care for me the way I want to be cared for. I guess, in the long run, I know I have to learn to love myself before anyone else can, but that’s boring. It’s not that I think anyone can’t love me, because I think I’m a pretty fucking lovable person sometimes, it’s just that I don’t believe anyone wants to.”

Rosie, do you think you'll ever find someone who actually loves you?

         “Probably not, but that’s okay. Love only makes fools of the best of us and I’d rather not waste my time with something that has a chance of slipping through my fingers. It’s exhausting spending so much time worrying whether one person will love you completely or not. No one has that much devotion running in their veins.”
